Facts About Improving Health With Alkaline Diets
Facts About Improving Health With Alkaline Diets
by Kongen Miken
At one time the diets people ate consisted of raw foods which are very nutritious. Today, the average diet includes processed foods with not much value nutritionally. Add to this the increase in chemicals found in the foods and environment, it is difficult for the body to control its chemistry. A rise in chronic and life threatening diseases is the result. Alkaline diets achieve proper balance of pH in the body and improve health.
The more alkalescent foods are added to the diet, the stronger the results will be. People who are not able to eliminate acidic foods from the diet completely can focus on eating as little as they can. Every time an acidic item is replaced with a non acidic food, you are getting closer to reaching optimum health.
This kind of diet has resulted in controversy since it focuses on consuming mainly fresh fruit, nuts, tubers, roots, legumes, and vegetables. Extra salt, grains, dairy, and meat is avoided. However, follow this diet, will balance the pH in your body.
The average diet consists mostly of dairy, meat, sugar, saturated fats, caffeine, and alcohol. This type of diet creates an acidic environment in the body. The pH balance affects all living cells in the body and has a tremendous effect on health. If you continually have a high acidic pH, you are negatively affecting all the cellular functions of your body.
A number of problems are caused by an imbalance in body pH. These problems are heart disease, weight problems, nervous system problems, fatigue, obesity, allergies, cardiovascular problems, cancer, and premature aging.
Alkaline diets can improve overall wellness. Reducing the amount of acidic food and drink, while increasing alkalescent food and drink, will create a balanced body pH and a healthier you. The goal should be to eat food that are 75 to 80 percent alkaline, and not more than 20 to 25 percent of foods that are acidic.

Neck Pain Relief .Some ways help with Neck Pain
Neck Pain Relief
The causes of neck pain can be very serious indeed, especially after an accident or injury. Neck pain accompanied by a fever could indicate meningitis so you must always use your Dr as the first point of call. In the case of suspected Meningitis, make seeing your Dr a matter of urgency.
In this article, I will discuss what was causing my neck pain. It didn’t come into the category of serious but never the less it was debilitating, interfering with me doing the things I liked. Most of all it prevented me from working which cost me money. I had trouble getting any sleep at all, what with the pain and worry about work.
Stress – a common neck pain cause
Stress is a common cause of neck pain which can be coupled with headaches starting in the back and sometimes going to the front of the head. I can go into volumes speaking from experience on what is needed to get on top of stress but there are simple ways to kick start your journey to recovery.
Some Ways to get Neck Pain Relief
Change your eating. More Vegetables and fruit, less coffee and alcohol.
Vitamin B supplements. Hold off on those energy drinks.
Water. Say No to sugar drinks. Get your sugar hit from fruit. Still cheaper than chocolate.
Getting some exercise. Even a short walk each day.
Heat packs help relax the neck muscles.
Relaxation tapes are everywhere. Do it. Your whole body with benefit.
It’s amazing how your life will improve by making changes to things I have mentioned. Don’t forget there many things you can do to improve. Keep reading and exploring.
Remember this, If you keep doing a little more good to your body each day it will become a habit, and the more you do the more you want to do. That is how it happened for me and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Truth! It wasn’t long before the neck pain was less frequent and nowhere near as intense.
Your body can heal itself as long as you are putting the right stuff in. When is comes to neck pain emanating from injury or overuse, your body is the best tool in the healing process. Feed it well. Painkillers sometimes are good short term, but best to cure the problem don’t mask it. I won’t go into detail about the damage prolonged use of painkillers can cause. I shudder! Now is the time to start. Get rid of that neck pain.

Posture Answer to Neck Pain
Neck Pain Relief – Better Posture may be the answer.
I read a recent article that said about 20 percent of 14 year olds in Western Australia experienced neck and shoulder pain on a regular basis.
You only have to watch a teen blasting away on their play station to understand why they are suffering so badly from neck and shoulder pain. Sending SMS has also been blamed.
Check your posture.
If you are at the computer all day or drive for a living you should look at yourself and how you sit and perform you daily routine to identify any poor sitting or bending habits that have developed over the years. If you use a laptop in your lap you are probably sitting with your neck in the down position for long periods of time.
For myself I spent many hours at the computer suffering neck pain. I learnt that getting up regularly and stretching slowed up the onset of pain in my neck and shoulder. I set up the computer in a better position and eventually updated my very old office chair to something ergonomic. It was well worth the money.
Learn to stretch properly. Keeping your body flexible will help you become more active and help prevent any injuries. Remember to help the body help itself.
Use back and neck support pillow.
Exercise
I found a professional who gave me a number of safe exercises, which strengthened the muscles in my neck, which were very tired and weak.
You should also get more active. The best way to heal you body is to look after it. Regular exercise will make you feel better and you will find that neck pain problem may very resolve itself. Walking was the best for me and it gave me time to think.
Fixing up your diet is one of the greatest boosts you can give your body to help it heal. We all should know what to cut out and what to do more of. Go searching on the web. Tons of sites to help with diet change. Get motivated. I have never seen first hand any Fad diet working. You may have. Be careful the diet is not harmful itself. See your Doctor.
If you still have that nagging neck pain that will not go away, start investigating an alternative therapy. Some really work wonders. I found mine through word of mouth and I suggest you can do the same. Make sure they are qualified and registered with the appropriate authority in your country.

Causes of Excessive Hair Loss
What is causing your of excessive hair loss?
Hormonal is another cause of hair loss. If your thyroid gland is overactive or underactive, your hair may fall out. This hair loss usually can be helped by treatment of the thyroid disease. Hair loss may occur if male and female hormones, androgens and estrogens, are out of whack.
Many women notice hair loss about three months after childbirth. This loss again is related to hormones. During pregnancy, high levels of certain hormones cause the body to keep hair that would normally fall out. When your hormones return to pre pregnancy levels, that hair falls out and the normal cycle of growth and loss starts again.
Medicines many cause hair loss. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medicine. Medicines that can cause hair loss include blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used for gout, high blood pressure or heart problems, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants.
Fungal infections of the scalp can cause hair loss. This infection is treated with antifungal medicine.
Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. Since hair loss may be an early sign of a disease, it is important to find the cause so that it can be treated. Information sourced from http://familydoctor.org

An attack of pancreatitis can be brought on by drinking spirits
They reckon that drinking one measure of spirits can increase your risk of suffering an attack of pancreatitis. However beer and wine is ok as it apears not to have the same effect.
Researchers in Sweden followed over 84 thousand people aged between 45 and 85 for an average of 10 years. Over 500 of them developed acute pancreatis84,601 people from 46 to 84 years of age from the general population in Vastmanland and Uppsala for a median of ten years. During that time 513 developed acute pancreatitis.
"Our study revealed a steady increase between each measure of spirits a person drank on one occasion and the risk of having an acute attack of pancreatitis, starting at just under ten per cent for one 4cl drink" says lead author Dr Omid Sadr-Azodi.
Please note that most people in the study drank only 1 to 2 glasses a day.
